I hope everyone is having a warm, safe, and happy holiday week! We’re still waiting on the hardcover books from the printer and I’m expecting an update from them soon!

Free books!

As a gift, everyone can download one of the digital books or sketchbooks from my site! Details can be found here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/free-holiday-for-23539933

2018!

This was an amazing year for The Middle Age - and your support on this Kickstarter was a big part of that! And once again, I must thank my kind supporters on Patreon - without them, this webcomic wouldn’t exist. <3

I hope you enjoy the digital download and I can’t wait to have the hardcover books in your hands! :D

Wishing you a healthy, fun, and brilliant 2019!

Bookplate and book update!
over 5 years ago – Tue, Dec 18, 2018 at 10:53:26 PM

A quick update: I'm still waiting on the books to arrive from the printer but the bookplates have arrived and they turned out great! Here's a look...

I've begun working on the drawings for the Doodled editions on these bookplates so they can be ready and waiting to get shipped out when the books arrive! :)

I was hoping to have the books in hand before now but the printer is saying that they've been swamped with holiday orders and don't have a delivery date for us yet. I'll keep everyone posted!

Episode 121 of The Middle Age was uploaded this week. As always, you can read the story from the beginning here: middleagecomic.com

And big, big thanks once more to all of you who have begun supporting me on Patreon! The Middle Age now has 97 supporters and we're just three supporters shy of our goal! I really hope we can reach that number soon and start 2019 off with two episodes every week! Fingers crossed! You can learn more here: patreon.com/steveconley

Thanks again!

Waiting on the books from the printer! And Bookplates!
over 5 years ago – Wed, Dec 05, 2018 at 09:28:56 PM

I caught one glitch in the proofs I received (part of a word was cut off on one page) and I was able to get that fixed before the big order was started! Whew! The files were a little slow in getting replaced because of the Thanksgiving holiday but everything is back on track.

Bookplates!

I've designed and placed an order for bookplates for every 'doodled' book!

I've rushed the order and expect to have the bookplates this week (I'll share a photo when they come in). Each bookplate is 3x4 inches, is printed on high-quality, acid-free paper, and features a new illustration at the top...

Each bookplate will have an adhesive backing so you can affix it inside your book! This will mean I can begin doodling sooner and have the doodles waiting when the books arrive!

Other perks...

  • You can choose to display the doodle separately (a few of you have asked for this).
  • This means I won't have to crack the spine to draw inside the book.
  • You get the fun of cracking open your book. :)

The latest episode...

The reaction to this week's new episode has been a lot of fun. A long time coming.

And big, big thanks to this week's new Patreon supporters Sven, Paul, Todd and Elizabeth!

Thanks again for your amazing support!

The proofs arrived and they look GREAT!
over 5 years ago – Fri, Nov 16, 2018 at 11:59:48 PM

The proofs arrived today and they look fantastic! I'm so pleased and am placing the full order for the books.

Here are some more photos:

Here's a look at the book and the die-struck pins!

The smaller, softcover edition (on the left) and the larger, hardcover page (on the right). The art is about a third larger and the colors are much more subtle. The printer did a great job!
